There are four stages for the healing of wound:-

1. Inflammatory phase: - This starts with the injury. Here, the blood vessels narrow, bleed, clot forms and several chemicals are released into the wound starting the healing process. Over several days, specialized cells clear the debris wound.

Its reconstruction starts within few hours getting completed in 24 in sutured and clean wound. As inflammatory process gets prolonged, open wounds may take seven to ten days.
